I cleared my written component of PCE and my Clinical ACEBC in my maiden attempt and I believe strongly these are the things that worked for me: 1. Ethics Masterclass - very detailed, structured course tailored to understanding Ethics to the point. I knew I could tackle any Ethical scenario once I was through with this course. 2. Mock Exam bundles - I loved their exams, especially their detailed rationales. I honestly felt the key to success in this exam was understanding “why” something was right or relatively not right and their rationales do just that. I passed the PCE on my first attempt after studying internationally. Before the course, I felt like I was nowhere near... being ready for the PCE, and felt that my knowledge in physio was scattered and incomplete after returning to Canada from studying internationally. I relied on PT Preps premium written course, and only used their resources for my studying. Everything in the course manual is listed so simply and clearly, with the videos also being so clear to follow. It made my studying and learning so easy, it was not a stressful process at all. Katelyn and the team outline the perfect study schedule for you, and that’s exactly what I used. The ethics course was also exactly what PCE exam expects you to know, and the many quizzes offered in the course closely mimic the questions in the actual exam - which is so helpful as the PCE has lots of tricky ethics questions.I never went into an exam being so ready and calm as I did for the PCE, and it was all because of the written course preparing you so well. The PCE exam was easier than I expected because the course prepares you beyond what is expected for the exam!Update: I also used PT Exam Prep to help prepare for the BC ACE clinical exam. I was successful in the exam and felt really calm and confident throughout each station in the exam. I came out of the exam feeling like I passed and knew that I knew all the information needed to answer each question fully. Based on this study experience for the clinical course, it’s definitely a smart decision to take this course with the class sessions because you get really comfortable doing exam style questions frequently so that the exam isn’t scary. The course manual and online videos were a lifesaver, with the practical scenario videos being a really convenient way to make sure you’re on the right track with your practice. Overall, everything you need to pass and feel prepared is in the practical exam courses - highly recommend!read more

I am Canadian resident who completed my MScPT abroad in the UK. Although I had a lot of experience in the Canadian... system thanks to placements and previous work experience, I was still a bit nervous when it came to completing the Alberta Clinical PCE Exam. I made the decision to sign up for the prep course and I am SO glad I did. Due to all the changes post Covid, the content and how the exam was being run was difficult to navigate, and with this course my mentors, Mary and Dean, did everything they could to ensure we were all prepared in the best way possible. Not only did they help us consolidate our knowledge, but they also provided key information and got answers to any questions we had on any discrepancies and rumours floating around about changes, timing, etc. The hands-on in person practice is something I normally would have put second as I am usually a solo book study person, but this course pushed me out of my comfort zone and also allowed me to connect with other students and start practicing as much as possible using scenario based practice. That, and the framework approach to the exam helped me PASS on my first attempt. I am truly so grateful for the team and their expertise and I would recommend this course to any new grads, even if you feel confident they give you a step-by-step approach that will help you pass all types of scenarios this exam will throw at you. I've just found out that I passed the PCE with PT Exam prep premium access course- without it, I am sure I would not... have cleared the exam on the first attempt! My prep story may not be the same as others- I was working full time as a PT for one year in NY while trying another prep course. I knew practice tests were key to preparation, and I found the PCE practice tests more challenging than the NPTE- more ambiguity with ethical questions, it was alot to wrap my head around a different prep course that I felt was not as concise, and not preparing me for these specific qs. I emailed Katelyn describing my panic- I only had 3 weeks to go before the exam, I had moved to Canada and did not know if I should push the exam back as I felt ill prepared! After discussing on the phone, she gave me actual guidance on how I could focus on weak areas and hopefully be successful (seriously my cardiopulm knowledge was extremely weak!) her content videos were SO clear and I actually gained an understanding of the content- and of course the ethics master class with multiple questions with rationales were key to being able to quickly decipher the best option during the exam. It was a long journey to be able to write this exam (began credentialling late october 2023 and sat for exam oct 9) and my clear regret was not signing up for this course sooner.read more

This was my first attempt, whilst working fulltime and on a background of... graduating over 10 years ago in South Africa. I initially tried to study without help but it was taking too long getting through the blueprint. Your course was exactly what I needed. The workbook and videos explained everything so well and helped save time so that I could focus on the important content. The tips and additional resources were also helpful. I took the mock exam bundle which was the cherry on the top and very valuable! I passed on my first attempt! I must say I was a bit doubtful about whether I really needed a prep course and thought I... could do it on my own. But registering with PT Prep was really a stress reliever! I took the premium video course which had two mock exams and they really helped me pace my studies and left me with enough wiggle room for some much needed breaks. I also felt confident about managing part time work as a PTA.The most useful part for me was the detailed study plan and the concise and clear notes that made reading through the material improve my confidence and yet it challenged me to study more. I also like the personal touch they add by responding to feedback and answering tough questions during the Webinars. I highly recommend their video course especially for those who are working as PTAs or don't have the time to do a full one on one course. Secondly, their database for finding a study partner was pretty helpful in order to stay in track and discuss difficult topics.read more

I had signed up for the virtual course for PT Exam Prep knowing that I would need extra guidance being educated... internationally. At first I thought I would be at a disadvantage missing the physical hands on experience from a live course. However, the webcam practice sessions worked perfectly. I found it beneficial that my teacher had only myself and another student in each session, allowing more focus to my learning needs. The webcam sessions also forces you to verbalize even more, which I could argue is the most important thing for the PCE.

Their lesson plans and frameworks make studying organized and simple, as if they provide you the road map to get from point A to point B. At that point you just need to put in the work and practice. And the educators are always available and willing to help when you have questions outside of the practice sessions.

I highly recommend PT Exam Prep to anyone who needs structure in studying for the craziness that is the PCE. They provide a tremendous amount of care, value, and attention to each student.read more

I started with PT Exam Prep this past summer to help find the gaps between my education in the UK and that in Canada.... The virtual written prep course not only identified the gaps, but it also steered my studying attention and kept me on a reasonable study schedule. It also helped motivate me to keep studying after such a long process of credentialing with the alliance. I've since purchased the new practical crash course and have attended all the webinars possible.
