Patrick Quimio

Instructor, MPT

Bio

Patrick completed his Master of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto in 2019, after finishing his Bachelor of Kinesiology at the University of Manitoba in 2017. Since then, he has continued to improve his clinical practice with continuing education courses like: spinal manipulation, acupuncture, dry needling, and completing both upper and lower Level 3 courses from the Orthopaedic Division. With continued interest in evolving his clinical care, richer and more comprehensive teaching can transpire.

Since graduating, Patrick has been heavily involved in teaching across the country in various ways: mentoring UofT new grads since 2020; clinical instructing for the UofM MPT program with a total of 5 clinical placements; and clinically instructing for UBC internships as well as a clinical instructor in the UBC MPT program. One technique he uses often is self-reflection: at the end of a patient interaction, end of a day, or end of a week, a question of "what were 3 things I did well today" and "what were 3 things I can improve upon" are asked. The combination of self-reflection and guidance and feedback from myself as a teacher will create a solid foundation to help you pass your licensing exams!
